Letters from Santa
A little festive magic to end the year
Do you know a child who would just love to get message from Santa in BSL as well as a letter from the big man in English or Welsh?
This year we have joined forces with Santa (Sion Corn, as he is known here in Wales) to spread a little cheer. We made a few Zoom calls to the North Pole, and do you know what? We found out that Santa is fluent in BSL! So this year, not only can children receive a personalised letter in English or Welsh from Santa, he has pre-recorded a BSL message for us that can be accessed by scanning ar QR code on your letter. How brilliant is that?
We know that Deaf and hard of hearing children do not always have the same access to visits to Santa as hearing children, and when we discussed this with him, he said that it just would not do and that he wanted to work with us to make a difference this year, of all years!
So, he put his hat on early, and settled down in his library and recorded a fabulous message.
We are going to send out Santa’s letters on his behalf, but as we’re a charity, we’re asking your grown ups to help us cover the cost of posting them out to you (£2.50), and if they are able to donate a little bit more to help us to continue our work with Deaf and hard of hearing young people, we would be super grateful.
Grown ups can click below to send us all the info that we need to pass on to Santa for you. Make sure they tell us your name and anything you would like us to tell Santa on your behalf!
Merry Christmas to you all/Nadolig Llawen i chi gyd!
