Volunteer
What makes a massive difference to our work?
People. Time.
Meet David. David has volunteered regularly with Taking Flight for the last 3 years. He helps with organising fundraising events & socials-in fact without David, we’d probably never take the time to just connect with our friends. He’s also the ideas man, constantly coming up with ways of helping us work more efficiently. David is very hands on & has helped load vans, tidy shelves, paint walls & label our equipment. He also gives an excellent hug or makes a jolly decent cuppa when one is needed-which is quite often! David says:
Youth Theatre
We’re always looking for people for our pool of volunteers that support the youth theatre. Some people volunteer every week, others less often. Every one of our volunteers has had Safeguarding Training and is DBS checked. There are lots of opportunities for personal development as well as taking part in the sessions with the young participants, and supporting them to get the most out of youth theatre. We welcome D/deaf, disabled and non disabled volunteers to apply!
We’re always grateful to people who can give anything from an hour once, to a regular amount of time to support us. We can find practical things to do, or office-based tasks if you’re more comfortable with that. Get in touch to find out more!
